I remember looking at this litter of three, thinking that these were either the greatest puppies I'd ever seen or they were surely the ugliest! WOW, "Rider" turned out to be the greatest. Both in Conformation where he picked up multiple group wins on the way to his Can. Championship and I believe H.I.T. wins in obedience. He also picked up an American major before he died of a poisonous spider bite. I will always remember his puppy face at five weeks old, he looked more like a sharpei than a sheltie. I've never quite seen that same look again. |
